Ah, the memories. Don't we all wish we still had some of those oldies again? Like my 1931 Model A; 1934 Ford coupe with a '49 Merc engine; 1940 Ford Businessman's coupe; 1950 Ford coupe; 1950 Olds convertible (man, would that Rocket 88 go!) and yes, even my 1962 Henry J Corsair. Wonder where they are today. Thanks for your great tour down memory lane. Chuck

Texas Bob - your website is just great. I'm in my 60's, and saw so very many cars that had a place in my history. Too bad Burma Shave signs are not along the hiways anymore. They kept me from getting ornery when we took long road trips across the country (in our '49 Ford!).

My uncle sent me your page here, knowing my enthusiasm- I had that coral pink '58 Impala, when in high scchool, working nights and wk-ends to pay for it...then, years later, my spouse and I restored 2 '57 chevys to modified show cars, and a 55 Chev truck - all trophy haulers at the car shows... in between all this, we found time to restore 68 Camaro as well. Ah, those really were the days...Nowadays, we tool around in our black Maazda Miata conv., and "pretend" its an old Chev. Regards & thanks for the memories. Really enjoyed your website, particularly the Burma Shave signs which I've not seen in many years. I was surprised to learn that the Tucker Torpedo actually went into production. A magazine article which I read very many years ago reported that a "dummy" was presented for inspection by prospective dealers. It was said to be supported on blocks and was "powered" by an old Franklin engine.

SUPER TRIP OF "REMINISCING" WITH CARS! MY FIRST CAR WAS A 1955 CHEVY BEL-AIR CONVERTIBLE, BLACK WITH A WHITE TOP, RED INTERIOR AND A CONTINENTAL KIT! TALK ABOUT SHARP AND I ONLY PAID $600.00 FOR IT 1963! NOT TOO SHABBY FOR A GIRL IN HER 20'S!
