"WE SALUTE YOU"
For
those of you who support our troops,
And give them the honor they
are due, Who make their fight seem
more worthwhile,
We salute you!
For those who hold the
soldiers up in prayer, And give them God's Love so
true, Who warms their faith to
continue on,
We salute you!
For those who welcomes with
open arms, And gives them safe haven
anew, Who smoothes their path to
normalcy,
We salute you!
For those who hold the
Veteran dear
And loves though their words
are few, Who understand some things
can't be shared,
We salute you!
Your love and prayers and
understanding, Acceptance when you don't
have a clue, Gives our proud soldiers a
reason to say
We salute you!
Family, friends, and neighbors
can do their part to let the soldiers
know we are behind them.
Knowing we are there for them
is what keeps them going under
circumstances that no human being
should ever go through.

Even though most of our
soldiers come home a different person,
and has to learn how to live in the
civilian world again, they are
grateful for our support even when it
seems the lines of communication has
shut down.
Love with an open hand - don't
smother or hover.
Respect the
silences, and be understanding when
they do open up and talk.
Be gentle, be
firm, be what needs to be at the
time - BUT BE THERE!
Encourage,
but don't push or nag.
Never be too
proud or stubborn to seek help from
support groups.
Pray, love,
and above all - pray some more.
God can do wonders for the wounds
that can't be seen when we back
off and let Him do His work.
You will
never get back the same person who
went to war, but God has a way of
making things work out when we allow
Him to take care of the situation.
It will not be easy. It will not be
quick. But it will be worthwhile if
we truly seek God's will in our
lives. One day, you may even have
your proud soldier Veteran thank you
for hanging in there. Then you will
know that you truly succeeded in
allowing God to work His wonders.
